Job Description
- We seek to require the services of an Accountant / Financial Manager to oversee the management of the company’s financial activities and funds.He or she will also be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s financial policies and strategies as well as anticipating and controlling the financial risks.
Responsibilities
- To maintain sound accounting practices and internal control mechanisms that ensure that the company’s financial goals are met.Assist with the formulation of financial strategies and plans for funding the company’s projects and operations.Foster strategic relationships with key financial institutions to ensure quick and favorable treatment of the company’s financial transactions.Assist with the development and implementation of cost management strategies to monitor and compare prices/cut costs in the company’s business activities.Recommend investment strategies that will ensure high returns on investment while assuring liquidity for operational cash flow for the business.Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements compliance, of all finance reports and activities. Requirements
- Minimum of First Degree in Accounting or any business-related course.Professional Accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA is essential.A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the finance function of a trading company and in a managerial/supervisory position.Experience in preparing and interpreting financial statements for internal and external use.Hands-on experience, a self-starter able to work with little or no supervision.An entrepreneurial mindset is critical for this role.Attention to detail.
