Finance Officer Job Vacancy at Trade Lenda Ltd. | Location: Maryland Lagos
Trade Lenda is a digital bank Based in Lagos, for the underserved, starting with micro, small and medium sized enterprises in emerging markets, with immediate access to credit within 6 hours. (4x faster than other alternatives in the market).
Responsibilities
- Taking record of previous and current day’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization.
- Preparing a concise summary of the company’s financial position, including cash balance, outstanding receivables, and payables.
- Analyze financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify potential areas for improvement or concerns.
- Assess current financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities for streamlining and enhancing efficiency.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Sales, and the leadership team to discuss ongoing initiatives, such as optimizing working capital or evaluating potential expansion into new markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a track record of success in startups, fintech, payments, or other high-growth technology sectors
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- An entrepreneurial-mind with a knack for solving problems and establishing processes.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero) and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of the financial industry, with an emphasis on fintech products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Prior experience in the fintech industry or emerging markets is a plus.
